E Resources

Electronic resources refer to any source of information that can only be accessed or used via a standalone personal computer, the network or the internet.  Following are some list of eresources provides for  library users at Linton University College Library.

1. Open Access Ejournals

Wiley Open Access is a program of fully open access journals. All research

articles published in Wiley Open Access journals are immediately freely

       available to read, download and share.  

Through Oxford Open, authors of accepted papers are are given the option of paying an open access publication charge to make their paper freely available online immediately via the journal website, meaning that readers will not need a journal subscription to view open access content.
ScienceDirect is the world's leading source for scientific, technical, and medical research. Explore journals, books and articles.
IEEE has introduced a new rapid-decision, open access mega journal spanning all IEEE fields of interest. All articles are author-pays. This new journal, IEEE Access, is designed to be inclusive in scope and application focused. The journal is fully open access and is available online only
SpringerOpen journals and books are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication. They are subject to high-level peer review, author and production services ensuring quality and reliability of the work.

International consortium of academic journals in all aspects of education in Science, Technology and related areas of studies to publish ground-breaking, scholarly, excellent and original research works to contribute to knowledge in all fields of human life.

Taylor & Francis and Routledge currently publish a number of pure open access journals, with no subscription content. The articles in these journals receive both rigorous peer review and expedited online publication.
PQDT Open provides the full text of open access dissertations and theses free of charge. You can quickly and easily locate dissertations and theses relevant to your discipline, and view the complete text in PDF format.

2. Open Access Databases
PubMed Central is a free archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM). In keeping with NLM’s legislative mandate to collect and preserve the biomedical literature, PMC serves as a digital counterpart to NLM’s extensive print journal collection.

 Accessibility of a great number of online chemistry journals is subjected to a mixed paying policy: the publisher may grant free access to a selected set of volumes (issues) while the admission to the rest of the database may be open just to subscribers or paying visitors. Quite often the information on the availability status is hidden deeply in the publisher's website pages and this complicates finding the free part of content.

It covers 5,759 free, full text, quality controlled scientific, and scholarly journals. Currently, 2,461 journals are searchable at article level. There are over 483,950 articles.

Provides free access to more than 1.2 million bibliographic records of journal articles and other education-related materials and, and links to full text when available.

my/home KRSTE.my (Knowledge Resource for Science and Technology Excellence, Malaysia) is an initiative by MOSTI and spearheaded by MASTIC to address science and technology issues and challenges faced by the community, the ministry and the country.
